Gambling Addiction Services

Where can I get help for my gambling?

Call an Addiction Services office in your area where you can get information or request an appointment. A wide variety of services are offered either in-person or virtually. Gambling services are offered through the Mental Health and Addictions division of the health care system.

You can also call the PEI Gambling Support Line at 1-855-255-4255 (toll-free) to speak with a trained professional who can provide information about a variety of supportive services such, in-person counselling through Addiction Services, Gamblers Anonymous meetings, SMART Recovery meetings, and other resources. Callers may also choose to be referred to Addiction Services for counselling.

Whether your gambling involves lottery tickets, casino games, horse racing or sports betting, slot machines, or video lottery terminals (VLTs), a gambling addiction can cause serious harm to you and your loved ones.

Two of the nine main signs of a gambling addiction are:

  1. You cannot control the amount of time and money you are spending.
  2. You continue to gamble even though it is causing harm to your family, career or bank account.
